Fern Leaf Orchid Cactus (selenicereus chrysocardium)

Fern Leaf Orchid Cactus (selenicereus chrysocardium) – Fast growing large, upright, rick rack leaves up to a foot wide. 12″ white large petaled blooms. Epiphyllum aka Leaf Cactus – So called because the stems look quite like long narrow leaves. Grown and collected primarily for the magnificent large fragrant flowers that if pollinated will produce a small edible fruit like the Pitaya. Epiphyllum make wonderful hanging house and patio plants.
The growth rate of Fern Leaf Orchid Cactus will vary greatly depending on soil type, sunlight, temperature and other factors. A few leaves are often trimmed prior to shipping to reduce transpiration and travel stress.
