barrow指坟冢，至于barrow-wight就是坟墓中的某种~~东西~~鬼东西。这个自由度很大。
有日耳曼族译本把wight翻译成了ghost的同源词。你有什么建议么？

这个单词在古英语里是"creature" "thing"的意思，没有“灵魂”的含义，后来才引申出超自然的含义。

所以wight和ghost是不一样的。

其实就像demon对应“魔”这样的传统翻译一样，有多少道理呢？Demon怎么和佛教的“魔罗”扯到一块去的？Dragon怎么和“龙”扯到一块去的？后来产生的magic->“魔法”之类的对应更没什么好说的了。现在还不也被大致接受了~~
Barrow-wight也只好发明个词来对应罢了~~妖、魔、鬼、怪、魁、魅、魍、魉、士、氏、民……不知找不找得到足够合适的咯~~

Barrow-wight是什么？是被戒灵唤起的尸体，是被邪灵附体的死尸，是行尸走肉，缘何不能译为“尸妖”呢？

感觉就是wight这个单词跟zombie 或者 inferius/inferi 更类似，不过zombie这个单词来自非洲的语言，而且是很现代的一个单词；inferius/inferi是J.K.罗琳根据拉丁语创造的；而wight是来自日耳曼语源，古英语，是属于古代用法。
